Twista - "I Can Make You Say" (Prod. by Kanye West) x "On Top" featuring Akon

The first track sounds like some straight 2004 Ye and Twista, and I love it. I haven't really heard some good Twist in a while, but both of these songs are damn good. Minus the tags on the first track that is. Sources (Andrew) say it isn't really Akon on the second track, but I think it sounds pretty damn close, oh well, who am I to say?

Kanye West- "Heartless"

I hate snippets, they make me sad that I can't hear the whole song yet, so I hope that you guys don't mind that I didn't post the snippet to this track. That's old news however, seeing how the FULL TRACK is here. I like it a lot, and I can't wait for 808's and Heartbreak to drop, I was a little skeptical at the beginning, but this sealed the deal, I want it...NOW.

Kanye West- "Love Lockdown" 2nd Version

I knew that Ye had it in him, that little perfectionist. After my little rant about how bad the original sounded, Kanye has come back with a newly recorded, remastered version (with no clapping chorus) version of "Love Lockdown", I now officially like this song .

P.S. No I'm not taking credit for the re-record.

Kanye West- "Love Lockdown"

Ok, so here's the deal. Personally, I don't like this song at the moment. During the chorus, it sounds like Ye is clapping his hands together, mighty off tempo if I may add, and I hate that "auto-tune" crap, if you can't sing, don't try to. But there's just something about KanYe tracks that you have to love, I'm not really fond of it, but I can tell that it's a tad of an acquired taste.

Enough bad, of course, there's some good to this track. Even though I hate the "auto-tune" T-Pain thing, you can't really notice it for the most part. The piano chord's are a nice touch, and the tribal drums sound amazing. The beat is a bit on the simplistic side (or as simple as a Kanye track can be), but that's not a bad thing, most of the songs on Graduation had simpler Kanye beats than I was used to. I like how at the beginning of the song, it's really soft, and slow paced, but then, suddenly when the chorus hits, it picks up, in a manner that build up anticipation, which I think is great. The first time that I heard this song, I was waiting for Ye to spit a nice verse that didn't involve singing, but it's not to bad to have him not rap.

My only concern is that the ENTIRE album, entilted 808's & Heartbreak ,will have Ye singing, and even worse, singing with the vocalizer, as has been the curse with rappers turned singers (no i'm not gonna spell it like the T-Pain album). There is another song that Kanye has been performing live called "Heartbreak", but I can't stand listening to live performances on low quality, so I can't tell you what it's like. Oh well.

Fresh Gear Friday's: Shutter Shades!!!

Sup folks, this is TMT’s new blood Dj. Phil here hittin you up with the latest styles and trends in hip hop. Today I wanna enlighten you all on the latest craze, shutter shades! Made notoriously famous since Kanye West’s Stronger video, shutter shades have been in high demand by Kanye fans and seriously, who can blame them?!?

Making their debut back in ’87, these shades were in an old movie that no one liked called Summer School. There are also many rumored sightings of shutter shades in 85 in Berry Gordy’s The Last Dragon. But anyways…shutter shades come in many different colors, forms, and sizes. There are the original glow in the dark horizontal shades that Kanye himself sported, diagonal, and there are a few models that actually come with lenses. These puppies range in price from $5 to about $30 and maybe higher. But I must warn you though, these shades aren’t for everyone!

So far only die hard Kanye fans, super fly people (such as myself) and posers (who don’t deserve the air they breathe) have been able to rock these shades. So as soon as you get a pair, quickly distinguish your self from the latter and sport those bad boys with pride! This is Dj. Phil, over and out!

Kanye West- "Champion" Video

I didn't think that this was the actual video at the beginning, but it turns out it is and.... I like it. It's pretty funny.

Kanye West- "Wow"

So i know that you guy's have heard "Last Call" off of College Dropout right? Well if you recall, Kanye mentions the track that he played for Dame, which ended up sealing the deal for him being signed at Roc-A-Fella.

"Then one day I just went ahead and played it, I wanted to play some songs, 'cause you know Cam was in the room, Young Guru, and Dame was in the room. So I played... actually it's a song that you'll never hear, but maybe I might use it. So, it's called 'Wow.'

"I go to Jacob with 25 thou/you go with 25 hundred, wow/I got eleven plaques on my walls right now/You got your first gold single, damn, nigga, wow."
Like the chorus went. Don't bite that chorus, I might still use it. So I play that song for him, and he's like "oh shit"

[Dame:] "Oh shit it's not even wack.""I ain't gonna front, it's kinda hot."[Dame:] "it's actually kinda hot.""
