Video: XXL Photo Shoot
A flurry of bangin' artist's show up. Ace Hood, Wale, B.O.B., Currency, Charles Hamilton, Asher Roth and Many more at the XXL Photo Shoot.
Wale talks about working with Khaled (ew) and Ace Hood, and maybe even one featuring all of them, that would be an awesome collabo (not feeling B.O.B. too much, but artist's been known to spit when surrounded by good company)

TMT and The Trolley Stop Present: The Cool Kids- "Track 14 (Dreamin')" x "Track 12 (Gold Chain)"
So here's week two of our little joint effort to bring you guys unreleased tracks by the mighty marvelous Cool Kids. This track is hands down my favorite. You never hear Mikey rap like this, and it's pretty good if you ask me. I love hearing my favorite rappers getting a little deeper than usual, think first verse of "Action Figures", only deeper. Well, enough of my rambling, enjoy.I'm laying on the stretcher and i see her next to me,
I grab her hand and tell her to please forgive me,
I look in her eyes, tears lye on her cheeks,
As we layed there silent, she speaks,
We could be together if you follow me.
I think you're dreamin'
Just keep running
don't you let me go again"
The Cool Kids- "Track 14 (Dreamin')"
for "Track 12 (Gold Chain)", head over to The Trolley Stop
P.S. If ya'll post up the songs, please give props where they're due. Or maybe it was a coincidence that they put it up same day as us, hey who knows? It is a small world after all

TMT and The Trolley Stop Present: The Cool Kids- "Track 7" x "Track 10"

So me and Optimus where digging throught the crates the other day, and we found some old Cool Kids tracks that we had, the first ones that we ever heard in fact. So being the kind individuals that we are, we decided to bless you guys with some (as far as we're aware) unreleased Cool Kids tracks. I've never found these up anywhere else, but if i'm mistaken, please tell us and we will stop taking the credit for them. But as of yet, this is the first time that i know these have been posted online. The tracks all come without names, so we're just going to post them how we found them, Track 6, Track 7, etc. There are six tracks in total (6, 7, 10, 11, 14, & 12) and me and Optimus will be releasing one each on our blogs, for the next three mondays. We don't have a catchy name for it, so just bear with it as it is. So in collaboration with The Trolley Stop Ent. I now present to you:
The Cool Kids- "Track 7"

The deteriorating state of a beautiful art: Hip-Hop
This one goes out to everybody who thinks that all those garbage rappers on the radio are hip-hop. As my good friend Clayton said "Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy, Jim Jones, etc. THAT my friends, is not Hip Hop." This video explains that what's happened tho hip-hop is tragic, it used to be about partying, and getting your thoughts out, not "Guns, Champaigne, and Women" as the video says. Now don't get me wrong, every now and then i do listen to some of the aforementioned type of music, but that's not what this is about, this is about clarifying to everybody what real hip hop is, about letting everybody know, that there's more to it than you could have ever thought
-Lupe Fiasco
Soledad O'Brien
"White executives who own the company pick, and white executives"
Lupe Fiasco
"And black executives...everybody's responsible"
For all you who think that it's just "The White Man", no, it's everybody, everybody who promotes that shit, and everybody who helps put it out, be it white, black, asian, hispanic, this isn't about color, and thinking that it is, is just as bad as abiding to it.
If you guys have anything to say about this feel free to drop a comment.
Props to Optimus for the video

Warped Tour '08 (Miami, FL)

So this is my first review of a live event, and only the second live event i've ever been to, so have some pitty.
Now that that's out of the way, i just want to say that Wapred '08 was S-I-C-K. It's the first Warped Tour that i got to go to, and i'll definitely be attending more. First off, you go there, and you have no damn idea where to go, me and my girlfriend(who i was lucky enough to go with) honestly didn't know where we where for a good hour or so. Once you get comfortable with where everything is, it's truly amazing.
The tents are pretty cool, they had a skullcandy(my favorite brand) tent, a trojan tent, a tent for people to play rock band(which is exactly why you go to a concert right?), and they even had a tent for all the myspace mistresses to check their myspace's. Of course, each band and label had their own tents where they sold shirts and whatnot.
Now onto the music. I'm not going to go into much detail, simply because it was two day's ago, and i just finished recovering this morning. You can just go to the website to see the entire line-up, I'm only going to talk about my two favorite performances: Gym Class Heroes, and Cobra Starship.
So when Travie came out, it was just crazy, the crowd went crazy and it was pretty intense. Disashi was looking pretty sick in some red shades and the rest of the crew was looking pretty fly aswell. As it turns out, most people only new the lyrics to Cupid's Chokehold, and i found my self the only person(along with my girlfriend) singing along to every song. When their two new tracks (Cookie Jar & Peace Sign/Index Down) everyone in the crowd was bobbing their heads and waving their hands, and once again i was the only person that knew all the words, but you could tell that everyone was feeling it. They performed a cover to some song that i've never heard, and it was pretty funny since Travie came out with what looked like a guitar, but it was really a rockband guitar(that sneaky bastard). They also performed a song from their new album that i had never heard before titled "Live A Little", it sounded very ska-ish, and i liked it quite a bit, their new album seems to be coming along pretty good.
Now Cobra Starship's performance was something different all together. We got there about an hour early, and we still only made it to (what can be considered) about the fifth row. The second that the crowd got a peek of Gabe(pictured above) they went absolutely nuts. Naturally they played "The City Is At War" to start off, and the whole crowd was just overflowing with excitement. The only time when the crowd was even moderatly quite was when gabriel started talking. But the second that they started playing, it went back to crazy. My favorite part i have to say is when they performed "Snakes on a Plane" and Travie came out to stage. Overall their performance had to be the most charged one that i've seen.
So yeah, it was pretty sick, and if you missed it this year, make sure you don't next
