Video: Left 4 Dead 2
A few days ago Microsoft and Valve announced Left 4 Dead 2. Left 4 Dead was hands down one of the most amazing zombie games i have ever played (and I love zombies). This time the survivors are in Louisiana and there's way more options than in the first installment.
The option for melee combat has been added, with weapons such as axes, chainsaws, frying pans, and more. L4D2 also added the option to change weather effects, world objects, and pathways in addition to tailoring the enemy population, effects, and sounds to match the players' performance. It will feature new Survivors, boss zombies, weapons, and items, too, as well as more co-operative campaigns, more Versus campaigns, and maps for Survival mode available at launch.
Look out for Left 4 Dead 2 on your Xbox 360 November 17th

Modu, The Super Phone

Yes it is gimmicky. And yes, it is superfluous, especially in today's economy. But this is America, and if we don't buy all the gimmicky, superfluous, trendy things, then who will?
Modu is, well, a module. The entire concept is this pretty much; You live a business lifestyle, so you want a phone that can run, say, Windows, can send emails, and even have a nifty little calculator app. But what about that weekend jog to shave off those pounds fatty? Despite how slender it is, the iPhone isn't a joggers bestfriend, and neither are most smartphones. So what if you could have a smartphone that could transform into a small, simple, music playing phone? A compact, lightweight cardio-companion if you will. Therein lies the magic of Modu, all your needs, in the from of "jackets".
Jackets are the butter to Modu's bread. If you look at the above picture, you will see what looks like 5 different devices. Right? Wrong! Each, and every single one of those is Modu with a different jacket. The device in the middle is Modu "naked" if you will, wearing no jacket. Each other is a different jacket described below
"-Night jacket: inspired by the nightlife scene, this jacket includes futuristic styling with an edgy keypad, flashing lights, night mode imaging and a unique graphical user interface
-Street-art jacket: capturing the expressive and vibrant street art scene, this jacket fea tures stereo speak ers and dedicated music keys for a powerful music experience
-Classic jacket: designed to fit the everyday needs of a modern lifestyle, this jacket carries all essential mobile communication features with an air of elegance and fine taste
-Express jacket: this jacket transforms the modu phone and user interface with a rain bow of fun, playful flavors "
It comes with complete mobile functionality, a music player, and 2 GB's of "Mass Storage". I'm sorry, but 2G's hasn't been mass storage since you could buy a 2GB USB drive on Tiger Direct for $5.99.
The bottom line is this. This is a device with unlimited capabilities, and if they have an option to up the memory a bit, I think this is the future of mobile devices. You can quote me on that, just make sure to send any royalty checks my way haha.

iPod Touch 2G

I realized today, that I haven't had any tech related posts in a minute, so why not make my return with some info on the new iPod Touch (NOT iTouch). There aren't any HUGE changes, but there are a few notable ones. With a brighter screen, a built-speaker, and volume controls on the side, it definitely is an improvement on the previous generation. When it comes to software, there aren't many changes with 2.1. Naturally, it runs smoother than before, and there's also the addition of Nike+ which I don't care much for, but hey, you might.

T-Mobile Sidekick??? Yup, just plain Sidekick

So after all the hullabaloo about what it's going to be called, Danger decided to just stick with Sidekick. It is however much better than the last phone named just "Sidekick", the specs include a 400 x 240 WQVGA display, 2 megapixel camera with video recording capability, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, and a microSD slot. It's gonna cost you $149.99 (with a two-year contract), and if you go on sidekickshelss.com you can get customizable faceplates for $14.99. It went on sale today, so if you want one, you better get to it.

Army seeking psychologically inspired object recognition system: Robotic Apocalypse, iminent

So the army is looking into "psychologically inspired object recognition system" which means that robots will be able to see things the way we do, recognizing certain objects to be able to make decisions based on what they are. That means that the robots would be able to make decisions on their own based on what they believe is right. I'm going out to buy my bunker for when the take over. Bye.

Tmusk Shopping Robot

A Japanese Company(of course) named Tmsuk, has created a shopping robot that you can control from pretty damn far. You can control the robot via keyboard and see through its "eyes". It's pretty amazing. I'm still fearing the day that these bastards take over.
