Instrumental Album: Jansport J: The 2 AM Tape

Wow.

I haven't been in the game for a while, and THIS is what I miss? A combination of many different beats all tied together by one thing, Jansport J's well known soulfulness. The song titles pretty much drive how you feel while listening to the songs, and I found myself freestyle to most of the beats(no you'll never hear it).

This has to be hands down one of the best instrumental albums i've heard in a while, with very few weak beats, and no bad ones. If anybody want's to jump on one of the beats, just do it and get at me, I might post it up. I'm actually pretty anxious to hear what people can put on these great tracks.

Here's what Jansport J has to say about it:

"On January 5th, 2009, I released my latest effort called "The 2 AM Tape". This project is an instrumental concept album revolving around all of the common characters, events, and thoughts that take place in the middle of the night...2 AM. The album provides a soundtrack to these events, and takes the listener through a journey through the goings on of 2 AM."

Coldplay to release new EP in December

So after going almost 3 years without a new Coldplay record, they've decided to bless us with 2 in 6 months, sounds pretty good to me. They've been talking about all these amazing tracks that just didn't make the cut for Viva La Vida, not that they weren't good, they just didn't meet the whole ambiance. All those tracks are going into their next project, Prospekt's March, which will be out for christmas time (wishlist maybe?). Not only that, but they're also planning on releasing another for next december, here's the report from COLDPLAYING.COM

"Following reports that Coldplay planned to release a record this year it fell on Stipe to get to the bottom of the rumours: “Is it true?” he asked. To which Martin replied: “We’re going to put an EP out at Christmas called Prospekt's March and we’re going to release an album next December to end the decade.”

Martin then turned to Will Champion and asked: “Is it [the EP] called Prospekt's March or Prospekt's Song?” Before adding: “Lets ask Michael Stipe!”"

P.S. and yes Chris did shave his head, Johnny shaved his beared aswell, apparently they went razor crazy

Gym Class Heroes The Quilt Preview

So Travie, Disashi, Eric, and Matt have been nice enough to drop a little preview of their highly anticipated album ,The Quilt. It's pretty much a 14 track album compressed to about 5:30. I usually hate these "samplers", but I can't deny the Gym Class Heroes. It's available at purevolume.com/gymclassheroes, so check it out

Izza Kizza- Kizzaland (Free Mixtape)

Sick ass flow, lyrics deeper than you would imagine and enough commercial appeal to be big (it helps that he's Timbaland's newest artist). I heard of Izza Kizza for the first time today, and i think that i'm in love. "Izza Kizza has an electric flow and versatile style" according to his myspace. He dropped a free mixtape which i'm putting down in a little, but before i do i'd like to give you a preview. I personally don't download albums or mixtapes from artist's that i've never heard of, and i'm so confident in this cat that i'm gonna post one of my favorite song by The Wizard of Izz himself

Izza Kizza- "Here I Iz"

And now i proudly present to you

Kizzaland

Download

It starts kind of slow, but it picks up at around track 5 and the Timbo freestyle is sick.

Madvillainy “2” The Box

Madvillain.
Do I really have to say anymore than that? MF DOOM is hands down one of the best MC's out there (by my own accord) and Madlib is absolutely an amazing producer, so their joint act know as Madvillain was a match made in heaven. DOOM as usual likes to prolong his shit, be it to build his fans hunger (it's sure making me hungry) or for whatever it may be, he likes to give a lot of space inbetween his projects, so i now bring you Madvillainy “2” The Box, no not a new album, rather a "reworking" (they hate to say remix). This is no simple remix reworking, but rather an amazing box full of your wildest dreams

"We’ve got something special.
And we’re going to sell it to you in a
big ass box full of cool ass shit that
you won’t be able to get anywhere else."

Word from Stones Throw, so i'm excited, it includes:

CD Madvillainy “2” The Madlib Remix. 25 tracks. Read more below.
7-INCH “One Beer (Drunk Version)” Madlib's original 2004 version, lost until recently on the floor of his Bomb Shelter studio. If you saw the studio you'd understand.
CASSETTE The Madvillainy Demo Tape. 12 tracks, 36 minutes. This is the first and only official release of the infamous Madvillain demo that “leaked into cyberspace,” while the album was still in progress, as DOOM alludes to in the lyrics of “Rhinestone Cowboy.”
T-SHIRT Nominated. Best Rolled L's. Madvillain shirt.
COMIC BOOK Meanwhile... the continuation of the All Caps video, included with the CD.
THE BOX 12x13x3 inches. Wrapped in silver like a mask.

You can pre-order it here
