Video: Skid Row

This is a little piece I started back when the blog was kicking off. Never finished it, so here's the semi-complete product.

Ignorance isn't something that can ever be cured. Ignorance isn't a disease, it is more of a hunger, a hunger for knowledge. No matter how much you eat in one sitting you will be hungry again, be it in 30 minutes, or 3 hours. As is the case with ignorance, learn all that you can, but you will never know it all, therefore ignorant shouldn't be looked at as an insult or a diss, think of it as a challenge, a challenge to learn, a challenge to be better.

Now this intro may have you thinking, "What the hell is he rambling about?", well, I'm starting a little section of The Morning Tilts called "Blank". What made me start this simply put, is Skid Row. Plain and simple, I did not know at all about the situation in Skid Row, as I'm sure many of you didn't either.

A 50 square block area in downtown Los Angeles with over 9,000 people in different states of homelessness.

I was originally planning on just posting the first video, but this problem is way to big to limit it to 1 of 5.

News: Travis Barker and DJ AM survive plane Crash, Four other passengers unfortunately don't

Travis Barker and DJ AM where the only two who survived the crash onboard the Lear 60 headed to Van Nuys, California. The plane crashed shortly before midnight on Friday night. Apparently air traffic controllers reported seeing sparks, but it doesn't make sense; do they always let planes take off after seeing sparks? That's kind of scary.

Travis unfortunately is in critical condition, but thankfully DJ AM in "stable" but they say he's suffering from shock. the Lear 60 was attempting to take off, when it drove off of the runway, through a fence, and hit an embankment along Highway 302.

Two of the four dead were crew members, and the other two were passengers. I wish the family and friends of those who passed away the best, stay strong, I lost someone a little bit ago, and I know it can be rough, just stay strong.

So I, being the Lupe fan that I am had to check it out(though I didn't really believe that it was real but hey, might as well try). When you click where it say's "Click Here" it sends you to the Jamster mobile site, which I'm pretty sure that F&F is not affiliated with.haha. So anyway, it turns out that thy myspace was indeed hacked, Myspace is fixing it, hopefully it'll be done soon because it's been frustrating me.

The deteriorating state of a beautiful art: Hip-Hop

This one goes out to everybody who thinks that all those garbage rappers on the radio are hip-hop. As my good friend Clayton said "Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy, Jim Jones, etc. THAT my friends, is not Hip Hop." This video explains that what's happened tho hip-hop is tragic, it used to be about partying, and getting your thoughts out, not "Guns, Champaigne, and Women" as the video says. Now don't get me wrong, every now and then i do listen to some of the aforementioned type of music, but that's not what this is about, this is about clarifying to everybody what real hip hop is, about letting everybody know, that there's more to it than you could have ever thought

Comic-Con '08 Coverage

Comic-Con was first held in 1970 in San Diego by Shel Dorf and some other San Diegans (Thanks Ron Burgundy), and was a place for nerds, geeks, and the like to just hang out, show off their comics, trade action figures, etc. Nowadays however Comic-Con is something completly different. Hollywood has taken hold of Comic-Con, realizing the true power of the fanboy, and go to preview their new movies and any ideas that they may have. From the first ever Iron Man Trailer, to the "Why So Serious" viral marketing of The Dark Knight, those at Comic-Con where the first to know. Unless you live in San Diego, or have the money to go, you're gonna be left at home completly oblivious to what's happening. But thanks to G4TV anybody who has their channel can have the pleasure of finding out. Here's the thing, not all tv's have G4, but no need to fret, i shall be your correspondent, delivering all the rawest news. Once again, you're welcome.
